The British Council presents – Entrepreneurial Africa: London Showcase.
Date: 23rd March 2016
Location: CodeNode, 10 South Place, EC2M 7EB, London, United Kingdom
The purpose of the Entrepreneurial Africa Showcase is to allow young African entrepreneurs to connect and make relevant contacts in the London start up community and therefore find potential partners to scale their business with organisations in London in a mutually beneficial way.
The London Showcase will begin with training workshops, followed by open talks with UK entrepreneurs, study tours and will culminate in a wider gathering where entrepreneurs pitches will take place and an opportunity for a panel discussion on innovative approaches to supporting entrepreneurship in Africa.
The London Showcase initiative will enable collaboration between the United Kingdom and Africa. It is also an opportunity for the British Council to share its vision around Entrepreneurship in Africa.
About Entrepreneurial Africa:
Since 2013, the British Council has run a series of enterprise challenges across Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa and Sudan. Broadcast on TV and online, these initiatives have directly engaged 12,000 young entrepreneurs and reached a further 20 million young people. Entrepreneurial Africa: provides an opportunity for young African entrepreneurs to connect with people in the London start-up community and find potential partners to help scale up their businesses. The programme is the beginning of a cross continental collaboration designed to increase collaboration between British and African entrepreneurs.
The British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. They create international opportunities for the people of the UK and other countries and build trust between them worldwide.
